If you're 16 and wondering what to do next, don't forget to apply now for your EMA.
Did you know that eligible young people can get between £10 and £30 a week for staying on at school or college after the age of 16?
Many 16 - 18 year olds studying in England, depending on their circumstances, should be able to get an EMA if their household income is less than £30,810 a year (2006/07).
Don't Delay - Even it you are not sure what course to choose, or whether you will be acepted, you can save time and money by applying for your EMA now.
An EMA does not affect other income and support benefits going to parents or carer's and in most cases the young person can still receive an EMA if they have a part-time job.
To find out more, to apply for an EMA or to register, go to www.direct.gov.uk/ema.
