The main aim of the Dream scheme project is to develop environmental awareness, community responsibility, citizenship and social and creative skills among local young people aged 11-19 years.
It further aims to promote social inclusion, reducing the barriers between different generations, thus working towards sustainable communities.
The projects inclub young people from Coleman's farm in Calne, Rudloe in Corsham and Hill Rise in Chippenham.
Young people agreed on the community work, a day’s activity prior to the commencement of the 'mini' Dream Scheme.

The Easter 'mini' Dream Scheme project consisted of one day’s community work in Hill Rise, tree planting on Pewsham Way in partnership with Westlea Housing Housing and BTCV.
12 young people signed up to particpate in the scheme. All young people engaged well with the community work and participated fully. 500 tress were planted which BTCV stated was the most they had ever had a group plant. This was a particular achievement considering the wintery conditions!
Feedack from BCTV: feedback was very positive and they have offered to nominate group for a Wiltshire award in recognition of their hard work and motivation.

I learnt that the environment is important and should be more carefully looked after.
I liked working outdoors with my friends as part of a team.
The best part of the tree planting was seeing the finsihed result.
The best part was being given independence at Thorpe Park.
I think we should do more activities like this

Feedback from residents: Some residents commented on how nice it was to see young people involved in a positive activity and in recycling.
Feedback from Young People:
I learnt about friendships, responsibility, self-confidence and communication skills and how to make things out of plastic bags.
The best thing about Rudloe is that we have a Monday night where street based youth workers come out to meet the young people.
It was a great Dream Scheme.
We want more fun community work.
