What is Bass Connection

Bass Connection is a music based project, in which young bands can come to practice during an evening. We run a booking system for this and young people can phone Grosvenor House in a morning and ask to speak to Keith Gale the Project youth worker.
New bands will be asked to come down and have a look around to make sure that what is on offer, meets their needs.
To make a booking contact Keith on 01722 337850
Bass Connection houses a state-of-the art 48 track digital recording studio, featuring industry standard equipment and software running on Apple Mac. The facilities offer the ability for bands and solo artists to produce both quick live demos and multi-tracked recordings.
Experienced sound engineers are always on hand, happy to help young bands achieve professional quality results and explain the recording process.
Along side recording facilities for Bass Connection members the studio has also been involved in a number of outreach projects including song writing and recording workshops.

Coffee Bar Club
The Coffee Bar Club has been set up for the bands' friends and followers but is also open to young people who have no music background who just need some where to go, offering support, advice and someone who will listen, or even just a place to come and relax and talk to others.
The Coffee Bar Club is open to all young people and runs
Monday to Thursday evenings
7.00 - 9.30pm.

OpenTone - creative music work shops for all abilities
OpenTone is an exciting project funded and supported by Wiltshire Youth Development Service that has already caught the attention of many well-known schools, colleges and youth centres around Wiltshire. The aim is to offer young people an alternative approach to using music, sound and visuals in a creative way.
To get involved with OpenTone contact
Ian McGinn on 07786 606199.

Using interactive, sensory and custom technology OpenTone can design projects based on young people's requirements and the individual needs of Youth Development Centres, schools and other organisations to encourage educational development in an informal setting.
Projects can offer individual support through informal education, helping progression through areas not covered by traditional methods.
Young people will not only be rewarded educationally but will build increased confidence and acquire new skills. Your establishment will benefit from promoting the latest in Music Technology and you will be able to offer a unique experience.
Projects are run as and when required, which can be seven days a week if you wish. To book sessions just contact Ian McGinn who will be happy to discuss the OpenTone project in more detail and answer any questions you may have.
