Tuesdays
Open Youth Work Session - 7.00 – 9.30pm
The club is open for young peole to use the facilities. Internet access, small court sports, pool, DVD room, Misic room and Art space.
There is a program of informative curriculum lead issue based sessions delivered while young people are using the facilities, issue based work is aimed at incresing young people understanding of issues that affect them and the world around them.
The Arts award is avaliable for young people during this session.
Wednesdays
Project Youth Work Session - 7.00 – 9.30pm
More focused than the ‘Open Youth Work Session’ Young people atteding on this night come to take part in specific projects aimed at developing interests and talents, encouraging young people to try something new.
Additional Projects (Ongoing)
Malmesbury Youth Music Sessions (By monthly)
A music night run by young people for young people, focuses on providing a credible venue with good quality music. Lunched at centre opening on 30th Novemebr. The night plans its next bash toward the end of January (date to be announced) to welcome in the New Year.
Locality Young Peoples Issues Group (Ongoing)
Group of young people from across the locality meet on a regular basis, with local elected members and significant adults. Groups discusses and work on solutions
Bridging Project
Thursdays - 7.00 – 9.00pm
A project for young people with additional needs. This night has a specific membership. Young people attennding the project have etheir an Educational Statement or supporting letter from a teacher or doctor.
Similar to the open youth work session, activities are provided alongside issue based topics and discussion on a rolling bases. Young people also have the opportunity to go on trips during holidays and try sports such as rock climbing with 4 group members achieving their ‘National Level 1 Indoor Rock Climbing’ award in the last year.
There is also a team of 4 young people from other sessions that volunteer on the Bridging Project to work alongside and support their peers to access the activities provided.
