Help Support Wiltshire Air Ambulance

Wiltshire Air Ambulance was established in April 1990. Since its launch, the Air Ambulance has attended literally thousands of incidents, providing an essential emergency medical service throughout the County.

We need to raise in excess of £700,000 each year to cover the running costs of the Appeal. We receives NO government funding but relies totally on the generosity of the businesses and people of Swindon and Wiltshire to support our fundraising needs.

Everyone with in the County has a stake in Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

It is an essential and unique service that serves Wiltshire, Swindon and in some incidences, Bath, Oxford and Gloucester. We are there for those life and death situations where the speed of the helicopter and the skill of the crew play a major part in the outcome of the patient.

We fly 19 hours a day 365 days of the year and have the ability to take the seriously injured to the most appropriate hospital, quickly and safely and it can reach any part of Wiltshire within 11 minutes.

Almost half of the incidents we attend are Road Traffic Collisions across the county, Motorways included.  Other incidents include, horse riding accidents, sporting injuries, farm accidents, fires and burns. No two incidences are the same.

We need your help and support to keep this service in the air! Could you join in one of our challenge events? Get a group of friends together and plan an event together? Volunteer your time at an event?

How ever you'd like to help, we want to hear from you.  Email; caroline.corrigan@gwas.nhs.uk for more information.

Without you we would be grounded!
