WAY & UKYP Elections STARTS TODAY
So, the nominations are in, the candidates are ready, and it's nearly time to cast your vote in the 2011 Wiltshire Assembly of Youth (WAY) and UK Youth Parliament (UKYP) Elections 2011.
WAY is a group of 24 young people who are elected by you, the young people of Wiltshire, to listen to your views and to challenge Wiltshire Council and other decision making bodies on your behalf to improve life for young people living, studying and working in Wiltshire.
From 12:01am on Monday7th - 12:00 midnight on Sunday 13th of February text voting lines will be open and you can cast a vote for your favourite candidate for free from you mobile phone by texting 'Elect (name of your choice)' to 80800.
Your text vote is free.
Details of all the candidates standing in your area (North, East or West Wiltshire) will be coming out to all schools and youth centres shortly and you can find a list of all the young people standing for election, with their campaign pledges and profiles on Sparksite - just search for 'WAY and UKYP elections' or look for 'meet the candidates' for more info.
