Trowbridge Area Board invites young people to apply for grants up to £1,000

The Area Board has agreed to allocate £9,000 to projects to benefit young people in the Trowbridge Community Area which includes the villages of Southwick, Hilperton, West Ashton and North Bradley.
Groups of young people (which must be a minimum of 6 young people) up to the age of 21 can apply for up to £1,000 of this funding to take part in activities, buy equipment or any other project ideas that will benefit them in their local community.
To apply please contact Rachel Efemey, Trowbridge Community Area Manager on 01225 718608 or email rachel.efemey@wiltshire.gov.uk who will provide a simple form to be completed. Please note applications must come from young people direct not groups acting on their behalf.
The deadline for applications is 5pm, Friday 25th November 2011 and shortlisted groups will be invited to a special Area Board meeting on Thursday 19th January, 6.30pm at the Civic Centre, Trowbridge. Those attending will be able to vote for which projects they wish to receive funding.
