The Event: What a fantastic evening
On 25th October there was an award ceremony event held at Centre Parcs, Longleat. The awards ceremony was to award young people on their achievements of helping others while going that extra mile.
With the venue and the workers of the night decorated and dressed up for Halloween the venue definitely looked ready for the night to begin. As the young people was arriving there was opening music played by DJ Chris giving off an exciting feeling for what's in store for night's event. Expressing how proud to be part of such an awarding organisation there was a speech given by Councillor Lionel Grundy and Kevin Sweeney.
The evening ran smoothly having various acts showing off their talents whether it was dance being performed by Salisbury, Tidworth, and Westbury dance groups, DJ's throughout the night included DJ Dave, Chris, and Shane, hard metal bands by ‘Acts of Brutality' and ‘Caught in the Crossfire', or a love for singing which was perfectly performed by Jamie Coop. The evening gave off a warm welcoming to all organisations and young people letting them enjoy the night while also having fun.
The event held a buffet which personally was the best time of the night indulging in brownies and a chocolate fountain which seemed to be a hit with the other guests.
Joining together to award young people on their exceptional involvement there were a total of four awards being presented.
The first award was being presented for a Group Award which was won by Westbury Smoothie Bar project for being a strong group while helping others. The group had been at Centre Parcs all day being involved in group activities such as swimming and tight ropes.
