Grant funding available for Southern Wiltshire youth volunteers
South Wiltshire groups working with young people and encouraging volunteering are being given a chance to get their hands on some cash.
The Southern Wiltshire Area Board at Wiltshire Council, which covers all the parts of the county South of Salisbury, is looking for projects to bid for grants of up to £1000 towards their work.
It's hoped the handouts will mean young people are given more opportunities to help out in their local community.
Bids can be made from October 1 until December 1. Grants of up to £1,000 are available for groups or projects, which support young people and are linked to the area board's volunteering theme.
Early in the new year the area board will invite young people to attend a special meeting where they will decide which bids should be successful.
