Salisbury holds Auditions: Durrington Dance Group

Salisbury youth centre held an audition night for young people to participate in an awards ceremony, The Event.

Auditioning consisted of 4 dance groups, 3 DJ’s, 1 band, and 1 solo guitarist.

The first act to perfrom were Durrington Dance Group.

Durrington dance group whom consist of 4 friends, Poppy (13), Megan (13), Lucy (13), and Chloe (13) started to contemporary and street dance back in 2009.

Showing off their talents they begun taking part in dance shows which helped gain their confidence to apply for the auditions. Being inspired by the likes of Beyoncé and Louie Spence the 4 girls want to make themselves known by competing and to let others know who they are.

Durrington: ‘One thing I love about dance is the partner work. It does get tiring so we all end up arguing but it is worth it in the end’
