As part of their campaign Barney King and Miamph Hanlon came to visit our youth centres.

They arrived at around 8pm and gaves us the low down of what they were standing for and why. As well as explaining to the young people what the UK Youth Parliament (UKYP) and WAY is all about; I think they may have even got some of us thinking about standing next year.

So a huge thank you to them for coming to see us and taking time out to travel to the far North Wink and thanks to Hayley, we like having you visit and hope you can come again soon.Laughing

So here's a round up of what these guys ae standing for:

Miamph: To improve the perception of young people accross the UK; making sure that were heard and listened to. Also making adults think that what they think is sometimes only a stereotype, they should give us a chance. To improve outdoor sports facillities like BMX trax, along with lots more.

Barney: To improve the transport services, to encourage leisure centres to offer more free sports; similar to the free swiming for under 16's and a more varied opportunity within P.E at school along with lots more.

You can get all the candidates manifesto's here and how to vote.(clicking will open this sparksite page link in another window)

Good luck to all the candidates and especially Barney and Miamph; we'll keep our fingers crossed for you. And we hope that you'll come back to see us once your elected.
