Open day fun in Melksham

From Archery and Fencing to Crafts and Cake decoration, Melksham's youth centre attracted over 60 young people from around the area by holding an open day on Saturday 24th September. The youth centre wanted to let people know they are still running and have changed the age range to 11-19 years old.

There was many activities held including an inflatable assualt course, rifle ranges, holding a raffle and the most popular attraction, the skate park which catered for all ages and both genders.

They had support from Escapexsports, Oxenwood, Wiltshire sports, and Cupcake passion who helped with the events happening and attracting the local community making the open day a real succes.

After taking part in some of the events I wanted to get reviews of the day from some of the young people attending:

Luke Singer, aged 12, first day.

''My favourite activity has been the skate park and the inflatable assualt course. I'm planning on coming again as I've really had a brillaint time.''

Shannon, aged 11, first day.

''I've had such a good time today and I'm coming again every wednesday after school. The best thing I've done today was the archery.''
