Sam Ferina for WAY and UKYP Wootton Bassett

Hi, I'm Sam. I'm 15 and I go to school in Wootton Bassett.

I am standing for election for WAY and UKYP to campaign on the following issues:

1. One of my primary goals will be to work towards abolishing or reducing university fees.

2. I want to see increased funding for schools, especially with regards to equipment, G & T and extra curricular groups.

3. I hope to be able to change the costs of certain services such as transport and produce educational material to promote social, community and educational improvement for young people.

4. If elected, I would use my position on WAY and UKYP to help publicise independent youth groups and possibly request funds from the Council to help them.

5. I am interested in issues that affect not only young people, but everyone, such as the environment, discrimination, crime and warfare and I would like to help young people get their views across to decision makers regarding all of them.

Vote Sam for a brighter Wiltshire! Thanks.

Kevin Emsley for WAY & UKYP Wootton Bassett

Hello, I'm Kevin and I'm 16. I live in Wootton Bassett.

I'm standing for election onto WAY and UKYP for lots of reasons - here are just a few:

1. I will be campaigning for cheaper travel costs for young people, as well as talking to bus companies to try and raise the age we pay for an adult ticket to 18.

2. I would like to see greater levels of school and local area participation in young people's issues. For example, more opportunities for young people to engage with local businesses and learn practical life skills.

3. I would like to see local politicians come into our schools and talk to young people about their ideas and policies so that we can listen to their presentations and then initate a good debate about the value of what they are planning and how it will influence or impact young people.

4. I would like to see technology being used in a wider capacity, in schools and public places - more internet cafes in towns and access to technology in rural areas.

If you think these things are important, please vote for Kevin.

Miamph Hanlon for UKYP Calne

Hi, my name is Miamph. I live in Calne and I am 12. I want to be elected because I want young people's views to be heard. I will be campaigning for:

1. I have the correct skills to maintain my place in UKYP for another year, the thought of leaving is too upsetting.

2. I love being part of it all and getting young people heard because really they are the future.

3. I believe I can help change our world for the better

4. I’m interested in other people’s views on youth and the youth parliament, and I like finding out what others think about wider issues like recycling, global warming and animal welfare.

5.I find the thought of me staying another year amazing I’d love to meet all the new members coming in and I really hope that they all settle in well.

If this is what you want too then vote for Miamph. Thanks.
