Music Matters
Hello people. So 2012 is upon and we are steam rolling into the summer. We have a programme of activities, partnerships, events and the just plain silly. It is going to be immense and we hope that you guys love it just as we do...
Already Wiltshire Youth Arts Partnership and MusicMatters has been hard at it since last summer 2011. Watch out for our video footage of the summer and watchout for the creative juice information... and new video which features musicmatters.
We are planning to take part in a few activities over the course of 2012- notably some of the events taking place around the Torch relay and the celebrations, play days and the like. We will be taking part in the Trowbridge Torch relay playday event on the 26th May 2012, the Torch relay event in Chippenham on the 23rd May and the fantastic Hudsons field event on the 11th July in Salisbury.
We shall still be hosting intensives in half term times and the summer. What a year this will be!
For those new to MusicMatters- we run music projects for 13-19 year olds in Wiltshire giving young people the chance to experience everything to do with writing, playing and recording music. We've seen (and heard!) some amazing music created in previous years of MusicMatters and want to keep this going! Whether its's singing, rapping, MC-ing, DJ-ing or learning how to play an instrument -whatever gets you excited then this is the project for you!
So, why would you take part in MusicMatters? Well, firstly feedback has been brilliant about the project- coming straight from young people we are very pleased that this is needed, wanted and hits the spot. The project is led by a group of very talented artists- offering some excellent skills and directions just for you. Whatever your skills base or interest, we can help. If your 13-19 years of age, living in Wiltshire, then get in touch.
