This year local democracy week will be running from the 11th—17th October and Wiltshire will be doing its bit to get involved.
The Wiltshire Development Service for Young People will be teaming up with local schools, colleges, youth centres and children and young people’s voluntary groups to ask you the question:
‘What is The Big Society and what can it offer you?’
We will be looking at what opportunities there are for young people in Wiltshire to move up, move on and be successful. We’re offering you the chance to get creative in our Art Challenge, get real in our Who am I? forum and get lively in the Great Debate to tell us exactly what Wiltshire Council should be doing to help you get where you want to go.
If you want to have your say on who you are, where you want to go and what Wiltshire can do to help you get there then talk to your teacher about coming to our Opportunities Road-show on Friday 15th October at County Hall, Trowbridge or speak to your youth worker.
