Get money for staying on! (EMA)
Did you know that eligible young people can get between £10 and £30 a week for staying on at school or college after the age of 16?
If you are between 16 & 18 and your household income is less than £30,810 a year (2009/10) you could qualify.
EMA does not affect other income and support benefits going to parents or carers. If you have a part-time job, in most cases you can still get EMA .
To find out more, to apply for an EMA or to register, go to www.direct.gov.uk/ema.
