Ringway are looking to recruit Apprentices for our 2012 Scheme. At Ringway we focus on the whole job and not just individual skills. Our scheme is designed to introduce you to the working world and develop you into a highly skilled operative working on our road networks.
You will be supported to obtain nationally recognised NVQ Level 2 qualifications in Highways Maintenance (Construction) and Highways Maintenance (Excavation Operations). Training is a combination of class room based delivery and on site experience. The Apprenticeship Scheme runs for 2 years with a permanent job on achievement. Participation in the scheme will include regular residential elements based in either ExeterorYork. Apprentices will be expected to travel and have full attendance at college and on site.
Candidates must be hardworking, enthusiastic, enjoy working outside and thrive in a team environment. An independent character is essential due to regular short periods staying away from home and we are looking for candidates with at least 3 GCSE’s at grade D or above in English, Maths and one other subject.
